AMCHAM Announces Launch of ESG Committee

Dear AMCHAM Members,

I am proud to announce the upcoming launch of the AMCHAM Environment, Social and Governance (ESG) Committee.

As doing business in responsible and socially conscious ways becomes more critical, ESG has emerged as the key criteria to measure the broader impacts of business activities, with a focus on improving companies’ practices in Environment (public health, climate change, sustainability), Social (equity, diversity, inclusion) and Governance (ethics, compliance, employee relations) aspects. ESG is in full alignment with both President Joe Biden’s and President Moon Jae In’s policy visions.

The ESG Committee will serve as the main platform for AMCHAM companies during this exciting transformation. We welcome the active support of all AMCHAM companies for this new Committee.

We will be seeking dedicated and energetic executives to take a leadership role as Committee Co-chairs. If you are interested in playing a role in the ESG Committee, please reach out to the AMCHAM Government & Corporate Affairs Team (gov@amchamkorea.org) for further information.
